Apalutamide
Apalutamide is a tablet that is taken orally and it works as follows:-
Apalutamide is a medication that blocks the effects of male hormones (androgens) in the body. It works by interfering with the signals that androgen receptors send to cells. This stops the receptors from moving into the cell nucleus, binding to DNA, and triggering the production of proteins that promote cancer growth. In studies, apalutamide has been shown to reduce the growth of tumors and even cause cancer cells to die. It's particularly effective because it competes strongly with androgens for binding to androgen receptors. Unlike some other drugs, apalutamide doesn't activate androgen receptors, even in cells that have a lot of these receptors.
