    Cabozantinib is a medication taken by mouth, consisting of small molecules that act as inhibitors of tyrosine kinases. These enzymes include hepatocyte growth factor receptor protein (MET), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and fms-like tyrosine kinase-3 (FLT3). By targeting these receptors, cabozantinib prompts cancer cell death, inhibits tumor growth, prevents the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), and reduces the spread of cancer to other parts of the body (metastasis).
